Evidence-Based Neural Patterning & Identity Integration

About Cultura Therapies

At Cultura Therapies, we support meaningful, lasting change by working with how the nervous system and identity actually function — not by forcing insight or behaviour.

Our work bridges cutting-edge neuroscience with evidence-based therapeutic practice, offering a grounded and compassionate approach for people who feel they’ve already “done the work,” yet still sense something hasn’t fully shifted.

REALIGN™ is our proprietary therapeutic framework, created to address a common gap in therapy: insight without integration. Many people understand their patterns deeply, can explain where they come from, and have gained valuable awareness — yet continue to feel stuck, reactive, or misaligned. REALIGN was developed to work at the level where change truly occurs: the nervous system and identity architecture.

Grounded in predictive brain theory, neural plasticity, and state-dependent learning, REALIGN recognises that early life experiences shape how the nervous system predicts safety, self-worth, belonging, and possibility. These predictions become identity patterns — not as pathology or defect, but as intelligent adaptations to lived experience.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or surface-level behaviour, REALIGN works with the underlying neural and identity structures that drive them. Through structured, neuroscience-informed protocols and personalised, nervous-system-led integration, we support change that is embodied, coherent, and sustainable — not forced or short-lived.

This approach is especially suited to people who are self-reflective, have gained insight through therapy, life transitions, or transformative experiences, and are ready to integrate change at the level of identity — not just understanding. Many clients describe this work as the missing bridge between knowing and living differently.

The Sarah Mounajed and Laura Tedeschi Collaboration

The Competitive Performance Interference Questionnaire and the Nervous System Based Weight Loss Interference Diagnostic were developed through a collaboration between psychotherapist Sarah Mounajed, creator of the REALIGN framework, and elite powerlifting athlete Laura Tedeschi.

This collaboration brings together two complementary areas of expertise.

Clinical nervous system science and predictive processing.

Combined with real-world high-performance strength sport experience.

Traditional performance coaching often focuses on programming, technique, and discipline.

However, athletes frequently encounter performance plateaus that cannot be explained by training variables alone.

Similarly, many individuals’ attempting fat loss encounters physiological resistance that cannot be explained by diet knowledge or effort.

The CPIQ and NS WLID were developed to map the hidden interference patterns within the nervous system that influence both performance and body regulation.

By combining elite athletic insight with neuroscience informed psychological frameworks, these diagnostics introduce a new layer of precision into performance and body change coaching.

About Laura Tedeschi

Laura Tedeschi is one of Australia’s most accomplished strength athletes competing in the under 60kg division, with more than 12 years of experience across powerlifting and bodybuilding.

A world record breaking powerlifter, Laura shattered the squat world record at 500 pounds while weighing under 60kg, placing her among the strongest pound for pound women in the sport.

She consistently ranks among Australia’s top powerlifters and has competed across multiple federations, earning numerous national and state titles while maintaining a top 10 international ranking.

Beyond the platform, Laura has become a recognised voice in the strength community. She advocates for women in strength sport and promotes powerlifting as a vehicle for confidence, discipline, and empowerment. She has been featured on Sunrise and continues to mentor athletes across Australia.

With more than 12 years of experience as a professional personal trainer, Laura combines elite level competitive knowledge with practical coaching expertise.

She specialises in

  • High performance strength development
  • Competition preparation
  • Physique development
  • Psychological resilience in elite training environments

In recent years Laura has expanded her high-performance methodology beyond traditional strength programming to incorporate central nervous system regulation and performance interference mapping.
